We called NOW, the National Crime Prevention Council, and the FBI with little result. The FBI training academy in Quantico, Virginia, for example, told us that they do not have assault prevention training videos for the public and to check with local law enforcement. Our local police department did not have any assault prevention videos for the public...
So we searched police and military suppliers and found the best assault prevention videos in the world. They can be yours to train your employees, students and family members. If studied intensely a few times, they can reduce a person's chance of becoming a violent crime victim, in our opinion, by 80% or more.
To avoid violating copyright law, they cannot be altered, sold, or displayed in a public manner. They can only be used for non-commercial, private, and educational purposes. The Assault Prevention Video Library's main thrust is how to recognize criminal tricks and traps and how to get out of bad situations. Five universally recognized experts will guide you through the training...What nearly all self-defense courses lack, in our opinion, the "missing link," is training in PREVENTIVE PERCEPTION. When a criminal "interviews" a potential victim, they need to know how not to "pass" it. Controlling fear impulses and displaying solid attitude is an acquired lifesaving skill which you CAN learn.
Because society isn't adequately addressing this vital area of life in an effective and meaningful manner (such as schools and police departments), we do it ourselves.

This Code Amber Organization endorsed video teaches kids from 4-11 how not to go anywhere with strangers; when it is okay to say no to an adult; to report unwanted touches (defined as the private places where a swimsuit covers); how not to fall for abductor's trick lines (such as pleas for help to find a pet or lures such as treats); exercises which aid in escaping abductors and/or fires; attention-getting tactics at crucial moments; informing parents when changing locations outside; keeping a safe distance from people in vehicles; the safe way to answer phone calls when home alone; checking with parents before answering the door; both wrong and right way enactments in handling situations; use of passwords between parents and children concerning school or event pick-ups...Unlike many other attempts at child safety training videos which come-off like documentaries geared to adults (and which frighten small children), Safety N.E.T.
